UrbanPhotoFest (2016)

Title: Louise Girl (2016)

‘I opened the box and found the hidden treasures.’

My work for the past two years has been related to identity and the self and this piece links to a larger project that is part of my final MA show at The Stanley Picker Gallery, Kingston.

‘It is evident that woman’s “character” – her convictions, her values, her wisdom, her morality, her tastes, her behaviour – are to be explained by her situation.’

Simone de Beauvoir. The Second Sex (1949)

I am in an exhibition as part of a Graduate Show – UrbanPhotoFest in connection with Goldsmiths using some of the images that have not been seen in my MA Exhibition held at the Stanley Picker Gallery.

The show will run from the 3rd to the 8th November, with the Private View as UrbanPhotoFest’s closing event on Tuesday 8th – this will be a barbecue in the garden of the gallery, from 18.30-20.30.

The Greenwich Gallery

Location: The Gallery is on the corner of Royal Hill and Peyton Place.  It is within 5 minutes’ walk of South Eastern Rail service (London Bridge 8mins) and DLR service.  Also within 5 minutes’ walk is the centre of Greenwich, with its attractive artisan markets, The Cutty Sark, Greenwich Park, the National Maritime Museum and The Thames Clipper commuter river boat service to Embankment and The London Eye  (certainly the most attractive way to travel into London)

On the Saturday and Sunday the show will be open 12.00-16,00 and on the other days 9.00-17.00
